Our shooting assignment over winter break was to photograph Christmas related images. For this photo, I was at a family dinner and decided to take pictures of the ornaments. First, I cropped the photo from the top and bottom to make the bear ornament centered and the main focus of the photo. I increased the temperature to +4 to bring out the reds in the photo. Then I decreased the tint to -23 to bring out the green in the tree and the scarf. Next, i decreased the contrast to -9. I then increased the highlights to +5 to bring out the whites and the shines in the photo while I also decreased the shadows to -29. This gave the photo a more three dimensional appearance. Lastly, I increased the vibrance to +12 to make the photo brighter and to make the red in the photo pop.

I really enjoyed this photo because the ornament reflected what was behind the camera yet the ornament stayed in focus while the background was blurred. This produced a shallow depth of field. I cropped the top of the photo to decreased the amount of ornament ring shown. First, I increased the temperature to +8 to make the warmth in the picture brighter. Next, I decreased the tint to -23 to bring out the greens of the Christmas tree. Then, I increased the exposure to +0.25 to brighten the picture because the shadows were overpowering. I decreased the highlights to -22 to make sure the flash in the reflection was not too harsh. Next, I increased the vibrance to +9 to make sure the colours are bright and not dull.

This last photo taken was of a bunch of gifts being shown. I cropped this photo from the left to decrease the amount of empty space shown. First, I decreased the tint to -13 to bring out the greens in the tree and the present. I then increased the highlights to +12 to bring out the whites in the envelopes to make them look brighter. Then I increased the shadows to +14 to give it depth and contrast. Lastly, I increased the vibrance to +17 to make the photo appear less dull and to bring out the reds.
